Stainless steel tension bar system – Grade 450 stainless

Modern developments in construction technology have focused on the production of light sturdy structures. Bar-braced structures are a key part of current systems and can be expected to further increase in relevance. By combining an understanding of the relevant aesthetic and scientific principles, we are able to provide elegant yet reliable solutions to tension member problems.

Our grade 450 range of stainless tie bars are manufactured from a high quality stainless steel grade 316 with rolled threads to BS3643. Bars are available in diameters from M10 to M39 in lengths up to 6m. Longer lengths are available by using bar couplers. Sizes above M39 are also available – please contact us for details.

Our grade 450 forks and pins are manufactured from a Duplex grade of stainless steel which offers higher corrosion resistance and mechanical properties than marine grade 316 (EN10088 1.4401). All fittings are finished to an N4 standard (240 grit satin). Bars are produced to a bright drawn finish.
